In 1986, Panduwinata released her 4th studio album, Cium Pipi (Kiss on the Cheek), which included several hits, such as "Aku Melangkah Lagi" ("I Step Forward Again") and "Surat Cinta" ("Love Letter"). The album was produced by Yockie Suryoprayogo, who also played keyboard on the album. In 1987, she released her 5th studio album, Kumpul Bocah (Gathering of Children), which included the hit single "Kumpul Bocah". The song became her signature song and was later included in the Indonesian version of the album A Gift from a Flower to a Garden by Donovan.

In 1991, Panduwinata released her 6th studio album, Tiga (Three), which included the single "Biru" ("Blue"). The album was produced by Ian Antono and featured songs written by Ian Antono and Melly Goeslaw. In 1993, she released her 7th studio album, Cinta (Love), which included the hit single "Aku Makin Cinta" ("I'm Falling in Love More"). The album was produced by Purwacaraka and featured songs written by Yovie Widianto.

Panduwinata continued to release albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Best of Vina Panduwinata (1999), Platinum Collection (2003), and Sempat Memiliki (2005). She also performed in numerous concerts and music festivals, both in Indonesia and abroad. In 2018, she was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (Indonesian Music Awards).

Despite her success in the music industry, Panduwinata has remained a private person and has rarely been involved in scandals or controversies. She is known for her unique vocal style and her ability to blend Indonesian and Western music influences.
