Juanda International Airport
Currently, Juanda International Airport is the hub of Indonesia AirAsia, Lion Air and Tigerair Mandala, along with Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The airport has also been known as the secondary hub of Garuda Indonesia and the focus city of Citilink.Juanda International Airport's new terminal is expected to open in November 2013 with a capacity of handling 6 million passengers per year. But it is still short of current demand.
Opened on December 7, 1964 as a national army and naval air base of Indonesia. In its development it was also used for civil aviation. On December 24, 1990 Juanda Airport was gained international airport status after the opening of the international terminal. Previous international flights have been opened to Amsterdam, Guangzhou, London, Manila, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo.
A new three-story terminal building was opened on November 10, 2006. The building has a capacity of eight million passengers per year and features a 51,500 mx domestic passenger terminal, a 20,200 mx international terminal and 11 airbridges. There is a single runway 3000mx55m, separate 5,300 mx administration building, including a 15 story control tower, and a two storey cargo building with domestic and international cargo sections, capable of handling 120,000 tons of cargo a year.
The new apron with an area of 148,000 mx can handle 18 aircraft simultaneously, including two wide body, 11 medium and five small aircraft. There are two 3000x30m parallel taxiways, including five exit taxiways and four connecting taxiways (also 30m).

Shuttle airport bus are serving several destination from Juanda Airport, currently it serves by a bus operator, "Damri" and Adam Trans for destination to Malang.
Primkopal Juanda taxis operate on a flat-fee rate to various destinations in Surabaya. This is different from other airports in Indonesia, where all taxis can only transport passengers from the airport to the city. However, all taxis can transport passengers from the city to the airport. Since July 8, 2013, Bosowa, Gold and Orenz have been given rights to operate in the airport due to high demand.
At February 2013, Juanda Airport opened Ibis Budget Hotel to service transit passengers at this airport.
On the apron, Saudi Airlines Boeing 747 refueling and reloading to serve Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to Mecca.
