Bandanaira Airport

Bandanaira Airport

Bandanaira Airport
Bandanaira Airport is the airport in the Banda Islands of Maluku, Indonesia (IATA: NDA) and one of the smallest airports in the country. The Banda Islands are a popular tourist destination for divers and snorkelers.
The nearest airport to Bandanaria is Wahai on Seram island, but there are only flights to Bandanaria from Pattimura Airport on Ambon island.
Most tourists come between April and November because that is when the weather is the best for snorkling and diving.
This airport is a very small airport. Don't expect much in the way of facilities. When planes take off or land, the airport sounds a siren to warn local residents to clear off the runway.
Like many small airports in Indonesia, you can only book return flights from the airport there in Bandanaira. This should be attempted upon arrival so as to make your stay in Banda less stressful. And there is always the Pelni ship if the return flight doesn't work out.
The largest aircraft

Local ground transport is available to and from the Banda airport either from private hire cars or motorcycle taxis called "ojek."
