YARSI University

Universitas YARSI is private Islamic university located in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
Universitas YARSI was established by the Islamic Hospital Foundation of Indonesia on 15 April 1967. Its status changed to YARSI Medical School of Jakarta in 1969.
Once YARSI was established as a medical school, the founders decided to create a new faculty, from 1988 to 1999 three faculties were established, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Industry Technology. At the same time the YARSI Medical School of Jakarta was changed to the Faculty of Medicine and all four faculties became Universitas YARSI.

In 2007 YARSI added the

Faculty of Psychology.

YARSI has five faculties and nine departments/school. All have been accredited BAN-PT except from the Department of Library and Information Science and Psychology Health Sciences which still in the process of accreditation.
Dentistry Studies Program has been officially operating since November 4, 2012, with the number of students of the 1st batch of 42 persons. Dentistry Studies Program is part of the Faculty of Medicine, University of YARSI. As already known, the results of the accreditation of the BAN-PT, Faculty of Medicine, University YARSI rated "A".
YARSI University, School of Medicine have shown a good quality of Medical Education and graduates have been widely spread throughout the Nusantara. Therefore, with the result that on the 4th of September 2012 has been released: THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE NUMBER: 306/E/O/2012 DENTISTRY STUDIES PROGRAM AT YARSI UNIVERSITY JAKARTA.
University YARSI trusted by the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture to open the Dental Education Program with a competency-based curriculum / PBL, and will soon be built Hospital Dental Education (RSGM-P) to support the Dentist Professional Education Program.
Currently staff of Dentistry Studies Program YARSI has 16 lecturer with the qualifications of the Professor of Periodonsia, three PhD, eight doctors Dental Specialists (two Oral Medicine Dental Specialist, two Conservative Dental Specialist, two Prosthodontist, one Orthodontist, one Oral Surgeon) and four Senior Dentist with educational qualification Sustainable Dentistry.
