Putra Nababan is a well-known newsreader, journalist, and deputy editor-in-chief of RCTI, one of the most popular TV stations in Indonesia. He was born in Jakarta on July 28, 1974, with the name James Parulian Putra Nababan. His parents, Panda Nababan and Ria Purba, gave him the name James for use abroad, Parulian for use in his hometown, Putra for use throughout Indonesia, and Nababan as his family name. He grew up as the second of three children.

At the age of 14, Nababan had already shown a keen interest in journalism, and his father's influence only served to strengthen his desire to pursue this career. In 1988, he moved to Sioux City, Iowa, United States, to continue his studies through a student exchange program. He graduated from high school in just one year.

Nababan then enrolled in the journalism department of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 16. He graduated three years later with a bachelor's degree in journalism. During his time in college, he held a part-time job as a security guard for two years to support his studies.

After completing his studies, Nababan returned to Indonesia and started his career as a journalist. He worked as a reporter for several local newspapers before joining RCTI as a newsreader. His talent and dedication quickly earned him recognition, and he has since received four Panasonic Gobel awards, which are the most prestigious awards in the Indonesian television industry.

In his personal life, Nababan married Mira Maria Melati Sirait on 14 February 2004, after dating for nine and a half years. They have two children together, named Aubriel Mutiara Aza Nababan and Gabriel Indonesia Prinz Nababan.

Mira Maria Melati Sirait 

Mira Maria Melati Sirait is an Indonesian activist and politician who has served as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives since 2014. She was born on January 29, 1970, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mira began her career as a journalist and worked for various media outlets, including the Jakarta Post, Business News and Warta Ekonomi. She also worked as a researcher and consultant for various organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme.

In 2001, Mira became the national coordinator of the Women's Network for Democracy and later served as the secretary-general of the National Commission on Violence Against Women. She also served as the director of the International NGO Forum on Indonesian Development and was a member of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children.

In 2014, Mira was elected to the Indonesian House of Representatives as a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle. She has been an advocate for women's rights, human rights, and social justice during her time in office.

Mira is also known for her marriage to Putra Nababan, an Indonesian newsreader and journalist. The couple dated for nine and a half years before marrying on Valentine's Day in 2004 and have two children together.
